TRINITY FORUM DURHAM

With thanks to the work of Rachel Lillycrop, Trinity Forum Durham began in the summer of 2024. It consists of a growing Scriptorium community, and has begun a series of public events, engaging important topics of life, culture and ethics.
The Scriptorium meets Wednesdays in the Upper Hall at St. Nicolas' Church (Durham Market Place, DH1 3NJ). It is open to all postgraduate students. For more information, please email durham@trinityforumeurope.com.
WHAT IS THE SCRIPTORIUM?

The Scriptorium is a community of students, who gather together for structured days of research and writing. Inspired by the monastic practice of a "liturgy of hours," the day includes set times for personal work, and then breaks together. Tea, coffee, and lunch are provided.
The day is designed to inspire academic progress, not add one more obligation. For many, the Scriptorium has met a keenly felt need for structure and community, as they engage in what can be isolating research projects. The Scriptorium includes morning, midday, and closing Christian readings and prayer, while being open to students of all faiths and none.
